Exciting perspectives of classic Latinamerican tempos: Choro, Son, Rumba, Bossa Nova, with journeys ranging from Joropos to Forro'. These dynamic instrumentalists have travelled extensively, through the Americas, and share with you the energy of these tunes: that are
enjoyable while dancing or listening.
GuaGua - What is Psychotropical? Come find out, and get cured!!! Improvisational groove, that will keep you moving, is Guagua's cornerstone. This stew of infecting rythmn brings together a jazz atmospheric feel with Cuban and Brazilian dance sound. The result is
approachable and highly danceable.

Grupo Sabor. This group is Vermont’s first orchestra dedicated exclusively to the genuine music of Caribbean Latin America. "Sabor" means "taste" or "flavor" in Spanish, and the group’s spicy mix of salsa and merengue favorites and classics not only lives up to its name, but has quickly made Grupo Sabor a favorite with area audiences. Featuring a full complement of horns, a classic Latin rhythm section and vocals, Sabor serves up scintillating original interpretations of some of the most exciting music in the world. Guaranteed to get you DANCING!

Pleneros de Coco
A Puerto Rican Traditional Music Ensemble.
Los Pleneros del Coco serve up a lively, percussive brew of authentic toe-tapping dance-style music. More than a dozen master musicians perform a high-spirited, diverse repertoire of spicy Latin rhythms: plena, bomba, salsa, calypso and jazz Latino, as well as original music. The ensemble has performed at prestigious venues across the Northeast, including the Smithsonian Festival of American Folklife in Washington, D.C., the Lincoln Center Outdoor Summer Series in New York City, and with the multi-city Island Roots and Rhythm Tour produced by the New England Foundation for the Arts. The audience-pleasing ensemble has opened for the Boston Pops and performed for capacity crowds at several Festival celebrations.

WORKSHOPS!!!

Salsa Lessons
Join the excitement of Salsa dancing! Salsa refers to a dance style having roots in the Caribbean, Latin America and North America.
You'll be able to deepen your understanding and sharpen
your skills for the Festival's live bands. All levels welcomed - no partners required.


Zumba Aerobics
It's fun...the type of exercise you'll want to do everyday and feel good about doing it!
It's different. You probably never thought you'd be exercising to this type of music!
Zumba is simple. Easy movements. You can start at any level and it's easier than any other aerobics program you've done before. Hey, everybody can dance, right?
Zumba combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations that allow the Zumba participants to dance away their worries. It is based on the principle that a workout should be "FUN AND EASY TO DO" Zumba is not only great for the body, but is also great for the mind. It is a "feel-happy" workout.

Tango Lessons Get past the stiff stereotypes and learn this sensitive and soulful dance which captivates all those that dedicate themselves to it.
